Changes occur at this school often. You will change how you think about the school, different people, Korea, etc; It will change from one moment to the next, mostly for the worse.
The school has more money than it knows what do to with it. There is supposed to be a new building behind the main building built sometime. Changes to your schedule, dinners, random holidays, etc, occur all the time. Keep on top of it. Ask them for a year (2 semesters) schedule. They’re going to say it’s in Korean, duh. Get them to explain what are days that you don’t teach anything because of testing (midterm/final/alternating month test days), holidays, days you don’t have to come for some reason or another, when dinners might be planned. Yeah, nothing’s set in stone to them but they always know more than they are telling you. You probably won’t know your vacations until about 2 weeks before you actually have them (if you pester them) for winter and summer break… I hope you can plan your trips very quickly.
